"Cambié mi Piel" is not just a song — it’s a rite of passage. Through the metaphor of exchanging my own skin for that of a bombo legüero, the sacred drum of Argentine folklore, I try to express what it means to embrace transformation. In writing this song, I let go of the borders and expectations I once carried. The repiques — the drumbeats — are not just rhythms; they became my own heartbeat, a new pulse resonating within me. "Cambié mi Piel" marks the moment I stopped asking for permission — and simply chose to be.

SUPERFICIALLY ECLECTIC. INTIMATELY CONNECTED. DEEPLY ROOTED

Just voice and guitar… I tried to feel the bongos even though they aren’t there.

Just like the song speaks of feeling a loved one, even when they’re no longer around. Music has a way of filling empty spaces, of making us feel the presence of something—or someone— even in their absence.

This song does that for me. It carries memories, friendships... and emotions that go beyond words. So here’s my tribute to "Aunque no sea conmigo." A song about longing, about love that lingers, and about the invisible rhythms we carry within us.

I live between two beloved lands—Argentina and Québec—both of which have shaped me, challenged me, and offered me a sense of home.

The following piece is a reflection of this experience
